The first couple of times I fired a pistol I was shocked at how bad I was at it. It's one of those things that you just assume is primarily mental - aim and fire. I can hit a target reasonably well now (3 out of 4 times, usually) at a medium distance with a revolver, but anything else and it's just ...

Whack it with your keys. Scratch at it in little bits with your fingernails. rub some water on it, let it dry. Take a little bit of motor oil (like a teapsoon) and put mix it with about half as much rubbing alchohol, and spray the holster with it, using a spray bottle (pick one up in the hair-care s...

I looked for the twill pants and found 'em. They're pleated (not sure if that's right) but the color is really top-notch, and they feel great, too.

Mine arrived today - it's fantastic! It had to stretch a little to accomodate that airsoft (which is pretty hefty) but I think a day or so in the holstor and it'll be a good fit. The web belt is great, too... I just can't get over the quality of these things at such a low price - thanks SO much, Tod...

I picked up the gloves with the leather a few days ago, and actually removed it today, just trimming the thread holding it with an exacto-knife. After rubbing in some color, you don't even see the stitch marks (thanks Todd for the great distressing tutorial). They didn't have any sans palm grips, ma...

I'm from Kentucky. The weapons laws there are not what you'd call strict - up until recently, fully automatic weapons were prohibited, but no longer. I think that active grenades may be illegal, but I'm not sure. Basically, the way it works in the bluegrass state is that any weapon is legal provided...

Yeah, mine's Mexican, too, but it's all leather (no rope core), albeit of a rougher finish, except for the (presumably) wooden handle inside the bottom.

Mine wasn't ebay, but I liked it a great deal when I saw it.

Oh, yeah, I love it... may I suggest something? Get some flat black spraypaint and a paper towel... spray the handle and then wipe it off quickly, in the direction of the wood-grain. This will make it look much more real. As to the guns, all the others that they offer cost right around $30, so I'm g...

These are definitely spring-loaded. No gas or batteries required. I have another by the same company and it is spring loaded. The hammer only requires the thumb to cock it, but it is pretty heavy - you can't fan the hammer like in the westerns. It's about as powerful as the luger (if you've got the ...

The airsoft revolvers

In the "Todd's Holster" thread I mentioned the airsoft revolvers, but I don't want it to go too off-topic, so I'm going to show them here. http://myspace-844.vo.llnwd.net/00236/44/88/236818844_l.jpg I scanned the box - as I said before, these two are not, as far as I know, available in the...

Up until now, the always generic "large" has fit me like a glove with anything from j. peterman and many period hats (i.e. top hat, derby). In terms of actual hat size, I'm afraid I don't know.

I need it by around October 20th or so.

I'm Poor, and it's urgent...

Okay, as I've already spent lots on various props recently, I do not have the sufficent budget to afford a great hat... namely, $50 is about as high as I can go, including shipping. My last fedora (a j. peterman with a custom ribbon) has gotten too threadbare to hold its shape anymore, regardless of...

I ordered mine yesterday... biting my nails in anticipation of its arrival.

I have some serious questions about this, too. One - I have a whip that I love, but the color is a little light for my tastes. I'd be concerned that any sort of dye submersion would weaken the whip. What's the best way to actually treat it? Secondly, it is finished leather but it does not have that ...

My bag was my bookbag through my last two years of college. Although I never wore the hat, I was told that I looked like Indiana Jones a lot (leather jacket, khakis, some type of safariish shirt or another).
