Re: AB orders 2008

I know that I'm not exactly on topic, but I ordered Sept 13th 2007, and mine arrived this morning (May 18th 2009).

Size ordered: same as HF's.
Bash: CS

It's gorgeous.

Patience is a virtue. :H:

Thanks for the replies... I've now tumbled it in the dryer (no heat) for about 2 hours with one of these in the mix: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/516R75ND9CL._SS500_.jpg I can't say that it's loosened up much, so I pulled it out, grabbed some Pecards (I have the standard dressing, not the j...

Has anyone tumbled a horse hide Wested in the dryer?

Subject says it all: curious if this would loosen it up any?

I've worn my HH Wested for 2 years, and it still looks like new. Talk about a tough leather!

Anyway, I'd like to speed up the process a little, and wondering what people recommend.

That would be the famous VS "Conformer". I'm still wondering what the heck that thing looks like... Guess I 'll just have to save my pennies for an 'Art'. I have a hat from Art - it's SUPERB. Amazing finish, and fits like no other hat I have. The conformer (I think the historical term is ...

Ya know, sometimes life gets in the way and you need the money. Not for "mad" money, but rather to pay the mortgage, medical expenses, etc.

Re: Buying an Indy jacket

It may or may not matter in your case, but Wested of course has that magic "they made the original" thing, which is really priceless to some, irrelevent to others. I have a HH Wested, the leather is very durable, no problems with stitching, but big problems with teh satin lining in the poc...

My apologies if this should be in another forum - if so, could a mod move it? So I love my rought and tumble Wested horsehide indy jacket. But this last winter here in Kansas taught me that I need something even warmer at times, with 3 months of below freezing weather during the early morning. So wh...

Jeff, which side is the bow actually on? On two pics it switches sides. :? Ahh... oops - sorry about that, the dangers of taking self portraits in the mirror :). In the non-mirror universe, it's on the correct side. About the brown cast - A low-wattage light bulb really alters the color. Look at th...

Adventurebilt in charcoal beaver

Just got my Adventurebilt from Steve today! Whahoo! It's absolutely fantastic! I *love* the charcoal color. It is truly charcoal -- a very dark grey. And as greys will do, it takes on the hue of surrounding lights. For instance, in incandescent lights, it varies from looking almost black to a hint o...

There's a "Vintage IndianaJones Stetson Hat Mens Size 7 " Rare "" on e-bay currently. Since nobody bid on the "thing" yet, I thought I'd let you know, in case there are some collectors that want this official hat for their collection yet. Regards, Marc So being a newby...

Thanks all, for not thinking me completely loco. Just a little loco :). I agree - without the pockets it's no longer an Indy jacket. I put in my order for a Wested Temple jacked on Friday! Whoohoo! However... I've done the unthinkable... I requested that the flap pockets be replaced by slit pockets (see photoshopped picture, with apologies to the photos original owner). I know, I know, "what are ya thinkin', man?!". Wel...
