Re: I may have stored my Federation wrong?

I only have one more pic that I can post according to the rules. Off topic for sure but I am easily distracted :CR: 1948 Willys CJ2A that I took all the way down to the frame sitting on the floor of my shop and went back together with it. http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m567/maldr427/CJ2A/201606...

I may have stored my Federation wrong?

about 10 years ago I bought a used Federation fedora from a member here that had been reblocked by Steve. I never ended up wearing it much and it has sat upside down in the hat bock that it was shipped in and forgotten about. Im an avid hunter and recently I have gotten pretty interested in vintage ...

I distress my gloves the old fashioned way. Hauling hay, cutting firewood, working on the farm, etc. It doesnt take long to wear out a pair of gloves if you acually use them!

I went ahead and rolled the dice and got an original from WPG. I called and talked with him and he said that these were in real good shape. I told him my intentions for the bag. Im going to get this first one and see how much I really will use it. If I start to use it a lot then I probably will get ...

MKVII for hard use. Get a real one or get a repo?

I was thinking about using an MKVII bag to carry duck hunting. Its the right size for extra calls, shells, snacks, etc. Would I be better off getting a reproduction bag or would an unissued bag be just as durable if not better? If reproduction, who makes the best one?

rebluing a gun can hurt its value. However I have altered guns I dont intend to sell as well. It looks good. I have a mid 20's military/police model that I have chosen to leave in the patina look.

Dimensional cut and the rotl turn?

When you turn a hat like in Raiders is the dimensional cut done before or after the turn? Also if a hat has been bashed straight for a while can you even turn the hat and rebash it? I like mine like it is but for some reason I have this desire to fool with it!

Sure... but if yer the guy wearing it, yer not the one who has to look at it! :-) Exactly, I like the Raiders hat best but im afraid it might look too tall on my head. Which hats look best for certain head shapes?

Which movie style hats go better with cartain head shapes? I want to purchase a fedora when funds allow and I like the look of the raiders hat best. But that is also on Harrison Ford. If I am going to spend the money on a quality hat I want to make sure that it looks right when I wear it out!

I am wanting to start looking for a Raiders style hat to start my collection. I want to know what hats to look for at thrift shops and such to get the right look.
