Re: I may have stored my Federation wrong?
I only have one more pic that I can post according to the rules. Off topic for sure but I am easily distracted :CR: 1948 Willys CJ2A that I took all the way down to the frame sitting on the floor of my shop and went back together with it. http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m567/maldr427/CJ2A/201606...

And because everyone likes pictures ;) Im 5' 10" and weigh between 200 and 210 depending on the season. (its coming on winter time so closer to 210 :- ) Roundish face. The crown seems a little tall to me but that may be because im not used to it. http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m567/maldr42...

I may have stored my Federation wrong?
about 10 years ago I bought a used Federation fedora from a member here that had been reblocked by Steve. I never ended up wearing it much and it has sat upside down in the hat bock that it was shipped in and forgotten about. Im an avid hunter and recently I have gotten pretty interested in vintage ...

I went ahead and rolled the dice and got an original from WPG. I called and talked with him and he said that these were in real good shape. I told him my intentions for the bag. Im going to get this first one and see how much I really will use it. If I start to use it a lot then I probably will get ...

MKVII for hard use. Get a real one or get a repo?
I was thinking about using an MKVII bag to carry duck hunting. Its the right size for extra calls, shells, snacks, etc. Would I be better off getting a reproduction bag or would an unissued bag be just as durable if not better? If reproduction, who makes the best one?

Dimensional cut and the rotl turn?
When you turn a hat like in Raiders is the dimensional cut done before or after the turn? Also if a hat has been bashed straight for a while can you even turn the hat and rebash it? I like mine like it is but for some reason I have this desire to fool with it!

NEWBIE QUESTION
First and foremost, I just got my akubra hat from rick5150 and I am VERY SATISFIED  This was a great hat for a great price, blocked by fedora no less! My question is a newbie question im sure. My perception of these hats all this time was that they were a stiff type felt. Imagine my surprise wh...

Sure... but if yer the guy wearing it, yer not the one who has to look at it! :-) Exactly, I like the Raiders hat best but im afraid it might look too tall on my head. The distance from my ears to the top of my head is short. I know when I played ball in school the ballcaps always looked TALL on my...

Which hats look best for certain head shapes?
Which movie style hats go better with cartain head shapes? I want to purchase a fedora when funds allow and I like the look of the raiders hat best. But that is also on Harrison Ford. If I am going to spend the money on a quality hat I want to make sure that it looks right when I wear it out!

I placed a call in to J crew this morning just to see if they had any of the Rugged boots available. The lady told me that all she had was a 10 1/2. This doesnt do me any good b/c I wear either a 9 or a 10 depending on the shoe. She also told me that more probably wouldnt be available untill August ...

Where to find a ROTLA, D.C. scene style suit?
I have been looking into buying a new suit. I really like the style of the old suits of the 30's-40's.(Plus it would look great with my fedora when I get it!) Does anybody know where I can get a suit like this or what style to look for?

What to look for at antique shops?
I am wanting to start looking for a Raiders style hat to start my collection. I want to know what hats to look for at thrift shops and such to get the right look. Since the hat would be worn little I can afford to pay the high prices of the new hats I have seen available from this forum. I guess my ...
