I finally got to shoot my new Webley MKVI this week! It was fairly accurate within 20 feet, but was virtually worthless beyond that. At 50 feet, I was missing the target completely. I don't know where those bullets were going. I wanted to say though, about the shell extractor tool, that it is entire...

If one will contact Peter at Wested, he will give you Lee's number. He said that he would only bother to make a LC tie if 30 of them were ordered. I have no idea how much that would cost.

Where did Indy keep his ammo? Did he have full moon clips filled with ammo -- secreted away until their desired opportunity of use arrived?

I found a few places on the web last night that cary these things that hold 2 fully loaded full moon clips that you attach to your belt. Very 21st Century.

The funny thing is that I stated getting nervous that I had made a huge mistake my ordering the full moon clips. I couldn't really find anything that said one way or another. This all started when my gun seller said something about half moon clips for this gun. It seemed so silly to use half moon, b...

Full & half moon clips for Webley MKVI

I ordered a pack of these full moon clips from MidwayUSA this evening. I am wondering if it matters if you use full or half moon clips? Does the Webley MKVI accept both? http://www.midwayusa.com/midwayusa/applications/mediasvr.dll/image?saleitemid=144819 http://www.midwayusa.com/rewriteaproduct/1448...

Does anyone know how easy it is to obtain .455 ammo?

If it is as easy as I would prefer, it would be worth it to get a non-converted Webley MKVI. Even though, it wouldn't be entirely accurate to the film.

I keep thinking that it will be a pain to deal with the half-moon chips and all that.

Indiana_dudley, do you have any future plans to create a screen accurate LC Webley .455 holster? There are so many options out there, and yet I think that most of these are just market items that have no intention of matching the film colors and so on. If you do, I will buy one in a heart beat. No q...

Whipwarrior, is that your Webley? It is gorgeous! The original serial numbers on my Webley were removed and reissued a new one after WWI. My biggest wonder is about the half-moon chips. Is that something that most people have to obtain for their converted 45s? If mine comes without one, I am wonderi...

I used to think that the two styles of grip were common for the MKVI but I have since begun to think that they may have been restricted to certain models. I have seen lots of MKVIs and I am pretty certain that I have never seen it with a "Webley" logo. I could be wrong though. I am undecid...

I've got a Webley MK VI coming in this week, so I frantically searched for an appropriate holster all weekend long. At the suggestion of a COW poster, I went to the following link: http://www.ima-usa.com/product_info.php/cPath/16_24/products_id/627?osCsid=4105faf5c991d61d256d15e4a113b185 The $29.95 ...

Thanks!

I have spent so much time over the years searching the net looking for virtually everything to make up my complete indy outfit. Unfortunately, none of it was used in search of a holster. I never thought that I would actually find myself a Webley. I was able to find a few holsters tonight, but most w...

they are all sold out

I just bought a converted Webley MKVI last week and am looking earnestly for a nice LC holster for it. I checked out the link to the Sportsmans online store and it seems that they are all sold out.

Any suggestions?

This is slightly off-topic but, does anyone know what this .45 half moon chips thing is? I know that these Webley MKVIs were originally issued as .455 but later converted to .45 ACP. I am still confused about the chips thing.

As I look at the cylinders, I can see that the museum piece has one that is slightly shorter than the bottom MK VI model. I was swept away by the first Webley because the barrel length seemed very close, if not spot on with the normal barrel length of the MK VI. I had seen some MK IVs in the past wi...

Webley MKVI grip. What is really accurate?

I visited the Imperial War Museum in London last Friday and found this gorgeous Webley on display. When I saw it, I thought that I would have to get a good shot of it so that I could share it with everybody. As the days passed, I kept thinking about that Webley and the nice grip that it had. I took ...

Wested says, "no tie from Noel"

Hey, while I was visiting the Wested Leather Co. onsite last week in Kent, I spoke to Peter about the LC tie and how one might get a hold of one. He telephoned a fellow named Lee who used to work with Noel apparently. Lee told him that Noel was out of the business, possibly for good. Since Lee had t...

I laughed out loud when I saw this post. My girlfriend has only called my indy-bag the "man purse." I had for some time called my MKVII the "man bag" but I lost a bet over someting silly a few weeks ago and have since been forced to call it the "man purse." For most of ...

Just ordered from Wested ...

Hey, I just submitted my big order with Wested and boy do I wish I would have seen this thread 15 minutes ago. Well, that's what I get. I have been having a heck of a time working through these decisions. I finally just laid it out for them to make me a LC jacket that is as authentic as humanly poss...
