Well, even if a given house coat fails to resemble Indy's, we should alway remember that Gomez Adams also wears the things :D

They had prototype Expeditions on sale a couple of years back. I picked up one for about $300, maybe less.

I believe the prototype's pockets are a bit inaccurrate but my primary complaint is that its goat is so tough that I'm more likely to age before it does. :)

Really, it's a fabulous jacket.

My Custom Tailors http://www.mycustomtailors.com They offer a number of tweeds. Goto their site and type "tweed" in their fabric search. What you do is send in your measurements along with a photo of Indy in the suit and say "knockoff this." If you have been shopping for jackets ...

I've been thinking of getting a covert coat for my own purposes anyway and happen to have been shopping around looking for one.

The two most famous vendors of covert coats are Cordings, which I showed, and New & Lingwood:

Upon further investigation, it does look like Indy's vest is three-button and not five-button. In particular, it appears to be a black version of a type of vest that is very popular in Scotland: http://www.neoclassicists.net/indygear/tux/vest-3button.jpg Indeed, as we all know, it is quite possible ...

Here's a tux offered on MyCustomTailors.com. It seems to me that if we tell them to change the black jacket to white, we have something that looks a lot like Indy's. http://www.neoclassicists.net/indygear/tux/black.jpg No.7623 - Peak lapel low gorge pleated pant mens tuxedo suit that can be combined...

Thanks for the feedback.

Economics aside, seeing as how these would be custom-ordered, there is no reason not to order both the peaked (Indy) and shawl-collared (Rick) jackets.

Are there any other distinctions between the two outfits (shirt, pants, vest, etc)?

Temple of Doom Tux

I am thinking of getting a made to measure version of Indy's Temple of Doom Tux at http://www.mycustomtailor.com/index.php , which will make a suit of any descripton so long as you provide them with one. To do so, I would need full length photos of Indy. Where could I get them. Or could people pleas...

Buffalo Leather

While browsing through Aero's website the other day, I noticed that they are offering a "California" jacket that resembles an Indy but whch has buffalo leather. Aero also offers buffalo A-2's. The only experience I have with buffalo leather is with H.S. Trask shoes, which is not at all use...
