Re: What's the difference....
Schott offers some of their motorcycle jackets in either cowhide or steerhide. I've owned their "Perfecto" in both hides, and the steerhide was much stiffer, and tougher feeling. I did not know US Wings was offering any steerhide jackets. Just some info I got from Gail at Schott about the...

Hey Zane,
Just wondering but...
What makes those your favorites? Why'd you list the Todd above the Nowak?
Thanks!

Re: US Wings Legend Vs G&B Expedition?
Be curious to see a comparison of the two myself. I've experienced GB for years, but have not seen a USwings Legend in person. The bison they have looks appealing and the Schott quality along with the good things I hear about USwings makes it tempting as well.

Re: Just received new catalog from Gibson and Barnes
It's amazing what you find when you dig through old posts... I've been doing a similar comparison myself right now between a GB and USwings as far as fit, except I'm focusing on the Legends, which I hear have a trimmer fit in comparison. I've never had a USwings or seen one in person as of yet, but ...

Re: Why won't Schott make an Indy?
What's funny is I just brought a 141 recently too. I've been wearing it for over 2 weeks now and it's fantastic. The naked cowhide is very supple and the jacket is very well constructed and wearing it I can tell it could withstand a lot of wear and abuse. The tighter fit took some adjustment but aft...

One question I have though....why did they choose the bash that they did?? I love it, I think its looks great... Its similar to the LC bash though and was this bash requested for on-screen continuity or was that just how it was?? Funny you ask that... I JUST read Indygear's new main site and there'...

Hats will do that. I remember talking to an old cowboy who used to say that he'd wear his hat so as the new felt relaxes it molded to his head better and gave a better fit. Side effect of growing up out west is you get a lot of old cowboys giving advice... Just don't sit on it like I've heard SOME p...

I used to wear mine all of the time but the summers in AZ can be a little warm to wear a felt hat so now I use them in the cooler weather and when I am camping. I may well wear it when I see the film tomorrow, you know along with everything else (geek at heart) Matt Wow, it's nice to finally see an...

One note - there is a dark horse out there... Why has nobody asked that question I have been practicing avoiding? Okay, I'll do it... Why didn't it go to Peter, since it was his original jacket and why was this one such a better model? For me, since it was a jacket GB/FS produced that was copied, I...

Re: The AB after a six month field test
What startled me today was the fact that I haven't had one single nitpick or compaint about this hat since the first day I owned it. And no, I'm not talking about screen accuracy, though I haven't had a complaint with that either.I believe it is a testament to Fedora's dedication as a hat fan and c...

I always thought the storm flap was that long and narrow piece of leather over the zipper. The Raiders jacket doesn't have snaps at the top and bottom, many jackets do, and I believe, at least the LC does, and I believe the TOD also. I have a Raiders and the pockets have snaps and the piece of leat...

West, I didn't realize that the British beaver was an endangered species. Were they hunted down by the White Witch for befriending the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve?
