Good find - it's not 100% screen accurate as it has a press stud fastner, but that's only a minor point - looks good, very 'period'! :)

Do you have a picture of the back?

Sorry Al no other pics till I get it in my hot little hands.

Michaelson- definitely gonna use the Pecards my friend. As for what's going in it -- for now a replica Smith as that is all I have.

According to the seller this is an old RCMP holster that will accomidate single or double action up to 51/2" barrel.

Very good. It was probably made originally for a Colt New Service when it was originally contracted, as that was a favorite revolver with the RCMP in it's day!! NICE catch! High regards. Michaelson

Nice looking holster, S.M. I have what looks like the exact same holster, but mine is in no way near as good condition.
Mine looks like Indys jacket on scren in TOD. Very dark, and beat to heck.

Abslutely, bro! Sounds like a plan.
Here is a pic of that holster I have. Not as nice as yours, but cool in it's own right.

Notice, the way it is SCREAMING for some Pecards.

Old leather holsters are so cool. You just wonder what kind of action they have seen and where they have been.

Cheers,

Cool! Maybe the holster in ToD was an original for that revolver then? Or a replica holster made to fit the replica Colt gun? (Rubber gun in ToD.)

Looking at these screengrabs, the press stud is there for sure, and the shape of the holster is spot on in my opinion:

I find that interesting. A lot of times when someone shows an item, claiming it is not screen accurate, it turns out it is ToD-accurate, or very similar at least. ;)

Beautiful holster, I'll try and get hold of one myself. Anyone heard of any Colt NS replicas out there?

Regards,
Swindiana

Looks great man! BTW, what kind of pistol is that?? I need a decent pistol for Halloween. I won what I though would be a good enough pistol on Ebay, and when it arrived, it was a bit on the small side. :?
Needless to say, it's my sons Indy pistol now.

HEHEHEHE! I THOUGHT that looked familiar!!

No problemo, bud. All part of the COW generosity we see so much of.

I've been inspired, and have posted a few pics of my 1930-ish RCMP holster. The colour is a dark brown, and the leather is still pretty stiff.

Sorry the first pic is so dark, but you can still make it out pretty well

This one's better. Recognize the pistola?
