WPG MkVII Rings

A couple of weeks ago I got my new WPG bag, and what a great bag it is. My only concern was the rings for the strap. the weld job was very poor and very jagged. I was concerned about them snagging or eventualy wearing through the strap.

My solution: Liquid Weld. A two part epoxy used for making repairs on machinery. It sets up in five minutes, and is fully dry in 24hrs. It is resistant to most shop fluids including water, oil, and break fluid. After it drys it is strong as steel and can be filed, sanded, and painted(though it dries grey).

I just mixed up a little batch, gooped it over the welds with a popsicle stick (you don't want to get this stuff on your hands), and after it was dry I sanded it smooth. No more worries!

Another solution is green stuff(I don't no the real name) also a two part epoxy putty used for plumbing repairs- and for sculpting 25mm war gameing figs. This stuff you can handle but it is green so you may want to paint it.
