Wonder if these are law enforcement trade ins? That's how they usually come in from armories...in one huge bunch. Regards. Michaelson

Sure, no problem. As long as you don't want any of those very expensive antique revolvers. :P

Mishaelson, I pm'ed you about the Triple Lock I found, but after talking with the shop where it's located, I'm not sure it's a good investment. HOWEVER...I found an almost mint condition Brazilian Contract 1937 S&W in Houston that I'm seriously considering buying!!! After seeing the H.E.'s at Olde Town Station, it's just piqued my interest even more! The problem will be if I'm "brave" enough to cut the barrel down to 4"!!! I just might leave it at its original 5 1/2" length...not really Indy-correct, but period-correct, nonetheless. Oh, how I love those old S&W Hand Ejectors!!!!! :D

Hey, RonC, what should the price range for the Brazillians be? I'm kind of keeping my eyes open in case I find one for a good price....

Rick, lately they have been going for $350 to $450, un-modified. PM me, and I can give you a lead on some.

I am guessing this one is the .44?

The bottom one I wouldn't even alter. Look at those grips!

Pyro, go into the website and select S&W Hand Ejectors, or S&W Military Revolvers...there is a ton of GREAT stuff there!

indiana_dudley, I feel for you, my friend! If you ever make it to Texas, both Pyro and I will make sure you have the opportunity to fire as many rounds out of these big ol' revovlers as your heart desires! The invitation is open at all times.

I tell you, Ron, the more I look at these big guns with the standard 5.5 in. barrels, I'm to the point of agreeing that cutting them down would almost be a crime. They're just balanced looking at that length. They feel that way too! Regards. Michaelson

The one I saw in a shop last spring (which I didn't have the money for) felt good with that length. As you said, Michaelson, it was well balanced and didn't need to be shortened. The more I look at them, the less I'm inclined to want to cut down the barrel, too. The only answer would be to purchase a second barrel for the sake of cutting down, and leave the original intact!

Heck, I'm to the point of even considering just ordering a custom flapholster to fit the 5.5 in. barrel, and leaving well enough alone. Regards. Michaelson

Agreed. After all, the Webley holster should work just fine, right?

Personally, if I were paying for one of those Smith and Wesson beauties, I'd just order up a custom holster from El Paso Saddlery myself. They've made all my other flap holsters, and they're just great! They've been around since the 1870's, so there's some history behind that company too! High regards. Michaelson
