I have finally approved my custom bagstrap buckles and will be selling them WITH or WITHOUT the strap soon! I will let you all know when I get them in and post them on my site: www.texasactiongear.com

Here they are:

http://texasactiongear.com/bagstrap

They are zinc diecast, nickel plated, and are slightly distressed.

Like my other items, the price will be reasonable. As always, questions/comments are welcome!

I think that buckle looks great, but I am no authority on buckles.
What is the wait time on your gunbelt and whip holder orders? I know other vendors can take months to ship. I was wondering what the ordering experience would be like with you. Thanks.

As for the bagstraps and buckles; I need to settle on a cost with my supplier before I post a price. I can tell you that the bagstrap with the buckle together will be less than $20.

As for shipping; I pre-make my items for immediate shipping. I ship via USPS Priority Mail. They advertise Priority Mail as 2-3 days to anywhere in the US. International orders are usually 10-15 days.

If for any reason I believe the items won't get to you for awhile (i.e. out of stock, large quantity orders, vendor problems, act of god), I will post it on the website so no payments will be processed without customer notification of the delay.

I also track shipments so that I know what the delay is if any.

Finally a new source of the strap WITH groves!!!

The leather looks a little too much on the dark and soft side in my opinion, but the buckle is very nice.

I'll probably get one, once available.

Marc

The strap color is the same as the belt. I have seen many straps for sale that are a lighter shade of brown, but I don't believe it to be "screen accurate." Every scene that I've studied has a darker strap. The photo I posted is against a white background with a flash to bring out the buckle better. Rest assured the strap won't be as dark as in that picture. Perhaps I will offer several different shades, as opinion differs greatly. The leather is 5-6 oz strap leather, and strong enough to swing from a tank turret if necessary.

I have settled the cost with my supplier and I can expect the buckles within a couple weeks (they are custom made, so they have to fabricate them). I have 500 coming, so there will be plenty to go around.

On a side note, I appreciate everyone's interest in my site, as well as any feedback. My goal is to provide the BEST products available at a low price. I have already sold several Gunbelt/Whip Holder combos and am anxiously waiting for feedback. I have no doubt that everyone will be pleasantly pleased. Again thanks, and best of adventures!

Well, my strap arrived on Saturday, as promised. I've owned MBA's, and an assorted number of customs, and have seen and handled Lee's strap. I've got to say, this strap of Texas Action Gear is as good as anything I've handled to date...bar none. The strap color is perfect to my eye, the buckle as close to screen as I can sum, and the quality of product absolutely wonderful. The most impressive thing to me was the back of the strap. Just about every strap, all inclusive, has had an unfinished back. This strap is sealed, and the color is a nice dark brown too, so if the strap gets twisted, there's no light/dark appearance you get with other straps. The Chicago screws are a much nicer size than those supplied by WPG, and I had no problem installing the strap on my WPG bag. EVERY strap I've owed has required at least one application of Pecards to seal and loosen the leather up. I installed this strap right out of the box, and it requires nothing in terms of a leather treatment.

I went with the shorter strap. I've discovered that even at over 6 feet in height, a 72 inch strap is just to durn long, even with jacket factored in. I'm not the least bit disappointed in the shorter version, as it has the bag hang below my beltline, and yet the buckle is in the center of the chest, alowing for even a little bit more droppage of the strap should it be required.

All in all, I'm extremely impressed with this product, and will know more after it's been used for a while, but right out of the box, this one's a homerun in my book! WELL worth the monies!

High regards. Michaelson

I just got my Texas Action Gear bag strap today. I must say that it is awesome. Being the somewhat tall guy that I am (6 ft.) I went with the 72" strap with grooves and it is a perfect fit. I finally have a replacement strap for my WPG bag.
