Funny thing brought up at the shooting range today.

I went to a shooting range today, for the first time since I got out of the Army back in 1990. It was a great time, and I was glad to see I could still hit the target, even tho not as accurately as before. Takes time I guess.
Anyway, I was looking at some of the guns that were in the gun display case, and noticed a vintage Mauser Broomhandle pistol, going for about
$650, and it came with the wooden butt stock attachment.
Not sure if it was a great price or not, but it definately got me interested.
Well, the funny thing was, a guy comes up that sees me eyeing it up, and we start to discuss the pistol a bit.
He says: "Ya know, thats the kind of pistols the bad guys in Indiana Jones used." I looked at him with the straightest face I could muster, and said back: "Really??? You don't say." I was wearing my Wested, but I don't think the guy had any clue.
Funny how Indy talk always seems to creep into conversations, even if I don't initiate it.

Haha. I love it when things like that happen.

That reminds me of the time and me and Iain went to the Peak District. I was wearing pants, shirt, boots, my Wested and Akubra. We came to a small cave and as we did, there was a group of about eight people and one of them went into the cave. When they came out, one of the group said: "Careful, a giant boulder might come out of there."

Needless to say, I don't think they realised that I was wearing Indygear.

Last night someone asked me if I was dressing like Harrison Ford or John Wayne while at the video store.

I asked him, "I don't know... who do you think?" Then my buddy and I were making jokes about how any movie would be made better with John Wayne, Including the new Children's video- Barbie's "Prncess and The Pauper".

The fedora is always great for laughs.

That's really funny that you say that, Hemingway! My mother-in-law (late father-in-law) live out in the country. One side of a pole barn is where my brother-in-laws and I set up our shooting area. Wouldn't you know it, one of them ended up putting a nice line of holes in the side of the barn accidentally!
