As you may or may not know I just got my new TOD wested, well I will be wearing it to work and was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to be able to permanantly ID my jacket without messing it up....I wish I could have had an id tag sewn in when it was made.any suggestions?

Just have a name label made up at your cobblers or sewing shop, and have them stitch it into you jacket (maybe under the Union Jack flag on your inside pocket?).

It'll look cool! :)

Yeah, both Wested and Flightsuits used to offer nametags in their jackets, pretty neat idea. I was lucky to get one in my Expo from FS...

Only thing if you do this, it's harder to sell the jacket if you do that sort of thing....

You could always just slap a "Hello My Name IS" sticker on the outside. Now THAT'S classy!

Clothing is something that you CAN take with you.

"Funny thing, they guy wanted to be burried in this old leather jacket..."

I am an RN in a large hospital and while I am not worried about my co-workers there are an awfull lot of visitors on the floor at any given time so a little hidden ID badge or something might be the ticket in case of attempted theft.that and the fact I think personalizing an article of gear just nakes it feel like it is more a part of you.

Hey Bliz,

Do they provide you with a storage locker? I wish I could have gotten a leather name tag when I ordered my Wested, but alas, the machine is broken and may never be fixed again.

yes I have a locker but it is too far away to be trusted, there have been thefts from the lockers, the way they are built even when locked they can pull open....I should just wear ir with my scrubs.

The hustle and bustle there makes it hard to keep an eye on it. That's an awfully expensive jacket to run the risk of it being stolen. People have things stolen from their offices all the time and they are not as open to public access as you are.

Get a cable lock (bicycle style) with the vinyl coating and two padlocks. Padlock one end of the cable loop to your chair. When you are away from your coat for a length of time, drape the jacket over the chair back and run the free end thru one sleeve then padlock it to the first lock. I do something similar with my motorcycle and Harley jacket (using handcuffs).

Then you rivett the chair to the floor, after making sure you reinforce the floor tiles, concrete, and building foundation.
