Looks like an old K frame Smith and Wesson M&P .38 or .38 special revolver....prior model to the current Smith Model 10. The Indy used models were N-frame...about a 1/3 again larger than the K-frame, and much heavier. In a pinch, though, these work, though are a bit smaller. I personally carry the model 13, which is the same frame and the like...just a .357 mag version with a bull barrel. Nice looking example here. Regards. Michaelson

It always strikes me as funny (but not in a ha ha kind of way) that replica guns sell here for more than the price of an original in the states. Supply and demand, I guess...

Well, considering that most replica's are hand built, where production guns were/are cranked out on production lines, it would make sense to me that the replica COULD be an expensive propositiion to a collector. They're pretty much a one of a kind, in many respects. Not being a replica man myself, I really have no 'feel' to what would be an acceptable price, and what would not. Unless it goes 'bang', and something jumps from a bullet strike, I don't pay a whole lot of attention to it. Regards. Michaelson

N-frame .45 and K-frame .38, more or less to scale...
