How big is this market?

Does anyone have a good idea of how many Indy jackets Wested makes per year? Or better yet, what the total market for Indy jackets might look like?

It must be fairly good, as Peter moved his entire Indy jacket production line out of his regular Wested shop, and moved it to his home at Little Wested House. I know he has a LOT of purchases over seas (like Japan) that we never hear of on this board, so there's a LOT of Indy jackets popping out that back door. Regards. Michaelson

Imagine that - a market full of Westeds; stall after stall of goatskins, lambskins, predistresseds, horesehides all at knock-down market prices...
What? Not
that kind of market?
Nice thought though, isn't it?

The legendary Indyjacket market in Marrakech. No infidels allowed.

Being based at his home, does that mean he largely does the work? Jerry? Gerry? Or do workers come to his house to work, too, ie: it's a house-cum-mini factory?

Yea, if I understand it correctly, it is a "family-owned" business with his children and their families working there. Also, I think I recall Peter mentioning that many of the "craftsmen," who worked on the 3 Indy films still help make many of the Indy jackets that you and I buy today!
Cool stuff!
I think, probably, Peter answers a lot of the phones and E-mails and such, while his family does most of the cutting, sewing, ect....
But if it meant that I could have the opportunity to work for Wested myself, I would gladly ditch my job, and leave the college plans behind, lol,
.....
Kind Regards,
Captain D
