First Wested Horse Colour Pic (thanks to WConly)

WConly has sent me the following image that Wested provided as a guide on the colour of the current horse hide.

It's obviously not a terrific pic, but it seems to confirm something I said a few days ago; namely that the horse sample doing the rounds in the US (described as "almost black") probably isn't the horse that is being used to make the current run of jackets - including my own - which multiple Wested staff have referred to as a halfway point between Wested's "authentic" and "dark brown" colours.

Thanks go to WConly for providing this. As he points out, "Note Peter's initials in the hide." (!!!) Enjoy :)

This could a Bigfoot as well  - it is a bit blurry.

But it's a nice colour! Looks a little bit "naturally" distressed or is this just the blurry picture?

I was wondering the same thing. It seems to be too uniform to be a trick of the camera? Would be great if it WAS a bit distressed-looking. Man, I can't wait for my jacket :)

Many thanks to Rob for posting this pic from Peter, for me! I too can hardly wait to see the final product....wait, wait, wait! Pace, pace, pace! Kind of feel like 'Monk'! W>

If that's the color, I like it. It looks to be the same color as the authentic lamb, which is ideal. A light distress would be good as well. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Very nice. It almost looks like lamb in texture, thin and soft. I can't wait for the first shots of a finished jacket.

Colours are always hard to tell over the net - they can look quite different from one PC to the next. Having said that, viewed over both my PC's the colour looks to pretty quite similar to the authentic brown, with some light distressing over the surface (and lighter brown patches showing through).

Nice, very nice. It looks like a very 'rich' and tightly-grained leather.

Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished article.
