I just got a brand new Cabela's Adventure Jacket from a very kind member here on the board. And I was wondering how much someone would charge me to distress it. I'll send it to who ever will do it and pay for the return shipping... I just want to know how much someone would charge me to do it.

There are threads with detailed instructions on distressing a jacket, and by doing it yourself, you can control the look, and make it to personal taste.

Break out the acetone and sandpaper, my friend, and get to work!

Yes, you'd be a very brave man to give it to someone else to do. Unlike reblocking a hat, distressing a jacket is VERY subjective and even if you give it to someone who is acknowledged as a god of sandpaper and weird chemicals in funny shaped bottles, you might hate the result. Better to learn the favoured techniques and proceed slowly at your own pace.

Still, if by "got" you mean the jacket was free, maybe you don't give a toss if it comes out a little wrong? That part is unclear in your message.
