OK, I am just about ready to order my wested, but i need a few questions answered.
1.do you measure the arm length from the base of the neck or the part of the arm where a shirt seam falls?
2. do you measure the back from the base of the neck or the base of the skull?
3.I am a big guy, do i need to send the measurment around my belly ?
or just the waist.
and lastly, beside the color is there any diffrence in the distressed cowhide and the predistressed hide?

thanks in advance .

I'll have at go at your questions:

1. The arm length is measured from the shoulder seam to the first knuckle of your thumb. It helps to use a jacket that fits you well as a template. Measure the shoulder seam to the neck on each side and send those seperately to get a good fit around the shoulders. You might also want to consider tapering the sleeves at the cuff slightly.

2. The back measurement from the base of the neck/collar to the point at your butt/lower back where you'd like the jacket to stop. Again, use a jacket that fits you well as a guide.

3. I'd send as many measuremnts as you can, the more accurate info Wested have the better fit they can achieve. I'd suggest adding an extra inch to the front of the jacket to prevent ride-up.

4. To my knowledge, the distressed cow and predistressed are one and the same..?

At least, this is how I have always done it and it's worked OK for me - hope this helps, good luck and remember if you do get stuck a phone call to Wested can be very helpful indeed.

Regards

Alan
