fall leather

I've got a couple of questions for the whipcrackers and whipmakers out there.

First, does anyone know where I can find a supplier for quality whitehide suitable for making falls? I've been using a type of latigo that I bought from Jim Hurlbutt last summer for my falls and I think I'm now cutting a little too far away from the back to make the best quality falls. I'm also interested in finding a supplier for latigo.

Second, has anyone talked with Jim Hurlbutt recently? The email address on his website is no longer current and I've only gotten his answering machine everytime that I've tried calling in the last month. I know he moved to Montana and I thought that he might have gotten a new number. I'd appreciate it if someone could give me his current contact information.

Thanks in advance for any help with these two questions.

PS: I've also gotten some interest in the cowhide whips that I sell on my website. I'll try to post pictures of the bullwhip that I've got in the works as soon as it's done.

Seigels of California sells alum tanned cowhide for falls. Their address is listed in the vendors page on Indygear main.
