The latest from Wested

Post by Ken »

As some of you probably know I am on the road at the moment on my way out to California. Anyway I had a short stop over in London for a few days first and thought I would take the chance to go and visit Peter at Wested.

This wasnt my first time visiting the factory so I had an idea what to expect, so I was not surprised to knock on the door and be greeted by Peter. We into his office and began chatting like old friends. We discussed a great many things from films Peter is currently working on to details of the jacket, and I have to say there were a few stories I hadn't heard before.

This visit I had my video camera with me and Peter kindly did a tour of the factory for me so hopefully I will be able to get that online at some stage in the near future. I also got to meet Bill (Jerry, Peter's son-in-law wasn't in that afternoon) who also makes the jackets - my thanks to you guys for your good work!!

All I can say is that Peter STILL is an absolutly cracking guy and one of the kindest people I have ever met - not only did he give me a lift to the station, but I got on the train with one extra package than I arrived with at no extra cost!

If any of you guys ever get the golden opportunity to meet this true legend in person jump on the opportunity!! Very few other people in this hobby go to such lengths to cater for us di-hard fans and Peter really goes out of his way to get things right for us. On top of that he is one of the easiest people in the world to talk to.

Peter thank you for your overwhelming generosity and it was great to meet you again - I look forward to buying you a drink when I next see you!!

Ken

PS - If anyone can advise me on the best way to get footage from mini DV onto computer please PM me.

Ken,

In case he doesn't come across this, you may want to give Pyro a shout as he seems to be our resident videographer.

In America, that's called a 5 finger discount. JUST KIDDING! Actually, is it something for your movie? That would be cool! Sounds like you had a great visit. Have a safe travel.
