TOD MKVI

I have been looking through the archives but could not find my answer. The TOD MKVI bag; Did it have two or three drain holes? Did it have O or D rings and did it have the disk on the side? A friend of mine found an MKVI with the side disk. I just want to know what would make an accuret TOD MKVI.
EDIT OK after looking through more of the posts I saw a photo of the TOD bag with Mola Ram and it had a good shot of three drain holes and O rings. Could not tell if it had the disk on the side.
Cheers,
Jeff

My guess is that the ToD Mk VI was a bag for troops in India.
Just as some of the Mk VII bags come with either one vent like some of the Canadian ones, or with a set of eight small non-gridded ones as on the desert bags, this one came with three vents.
It could have been a production error on a British one of course, or an early one that had this many holes as standard and then the bags would use only two vents to reduce production costs. Could someone with a 3-vent British Mk VI perhaps chime in? I think I remember someone owning one of the kind.
Until I find out 100% for sure, I'm not certain about it though.

What I know for sure is that
most of the British Pattern 37 bags come with two of these babies.
A side disc Mk VI sounds interesting... Do you know any more of its features? Does it have flapped external pockets like a 'normal' Mk VI? No D-rings then?
Some Mk
VII bags come without it you know.

I don't have any more info. I know the guy has a lot of British MKVIs with eight drain holes.

I'm no expert, but it could the third drain-hole possiblly be just part of the mechanism/device that makes the bag ignite from the inside. i always wondered how they did that.

I believe the 3rd drain hole was added by the FX crew to help the airflow for the fire. More air would give a larger burst when it ignited.

Thanx. I forgot that I was one of the first members to point out the third drain hole, lol.

I've owned a Mk VI with three holes in the bottom.
It is now in possession of one of my old housemates.
All three holes were the same, but I don't clearly remember what the grid was like.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who takes notice of these
important details, Mike.
IndianaJames: Thank you.
