That is interesting! I believe I've heard talk of Harrison's Flightsuits Expedition but I never knew about Spielberg's standing order. Michaelson, you are forever a treasure trove of knowledge.Michaelson wrote:Probably is. He keeps a standing order for a Raiders lambskin at Wested, and usually picks one up about once a year or so. The pic doesn't seem to be working now?
However, on the DVD documentaries and the bestbuy bonus disc, Lucas and Spielberg are clearly wearing forerunners of today's 'Wested' jackets, so I assume both men were measured up by Peter at the time of production?
I'm sure someone will be able to clarify this point for me.
As Spielberg continues his association with Wested, this leads me to hope that should a fourth Indy movie go into production, Wested would again be contracted to produce the new jacket for Ford.

Bite your tongue, Michaelson! While I realize there will still be quite a trade in used jackets, I hold out hope for a long time of Wested production, and Peter's continuing good health! (Knock on wood!)Michaelson wrote:They better not tarry. The original folks are either retiring from the business, closing shop (as in MBA's case), or dying. Regards. Michaelson

Well, there's always Optimo for the fed and, like Lord_Clarence mentioned, Peter's still in good health and he has the ongoing relationship with Spielberg.Michaelson wrote:They better not tarry. Let's get Indy IV made, huh?! Waiting for this film is like waiting for my next jacket (and we all know how that can be).

I'm not talking just about vendors. I'm talking about the original production folks too! You can always replace them as well, but the original heart and soul of the character are being lost to the ages from atrition. (wow,a big, probably mis-spelled word for this early in the morning! )Regards. Michaelson

It's got to be his own, surely. Spielberg is quite a small guy, at least smaller than Harrison and the stunt guys, so their jackets wouldn't fit him.
Michaelson's point regarding Spielberg having a regular order with Wested suggests to me that both Spielberg (and possibly Lucas) had jackets tailor-made by Peter.
I'm sure Peter could clarify this in a jiffy, if he happens to see this post.

I can't imagine Senor Spielbergo ever giving up his baseball cap. Ever since I remember, he always has some sort of ball cap on with a t-shirt of whatever movie he's working on. Considering the amount of money he must have, it's impressive that he never left his roots, at least as far as his attire is concerned.
