I've been researching tonight in past posts and I found some that state that gussets are screen acurate, I thought this was a gear modfiction.

So I put it to the pro's here. Whats the scoop.
Thanks to those who answer in advance.

They are screen accurate but it depends on which scene. They are on the jacket in the Well of the Souls and the airplane fight.

Though if you look at the openeing temple scene there are none. I don't believe Peter made them with gussets for the film, but the wardrobe people added them during filming.

I personally love the airplane fight jacket 'cause it's so dirty.

Interesing thought......Peter may need to chime in on this one. You got me wondering now.

Somewhere in the archives is a quote by Peter saying that the jackets made for Harrison Ford did not have gussets, but the ones he made for the stuntmen did. This explains why you see gussets in some scenes and not others. If I'm not mistaken, the jacket that was used for the Flightsuits pattern was a stunt jacket, and that is why gussets come standard on G&B jackets.

Peter did put them into the Stuntmen jackets. But the ones on Ford's jacket were added later probably to replicate the Stunt jackets during filming. I was only referring to Ford's jackets above(sorry for the confusion).

During the fight scenes the jackets would rip from the punches and movement hence adding them when they were repaired on location.
