Which Whip?

My dad said he would think about buying me an "actual" bullwhip for my birthday in a couple months.(I have a Disney Whip right now *which is still pretty good*) I practice with my Disney Whip for about 15 minutes a day, and can do about 6 standard cracks, and then some others I invented my self.

What kind of whip would you guys reommend for a 13 - 14 year old that is under $200? Any help would be appreciated!

The 8-foot, 8-plait "Budget Indy" from ECwhips would be my choice. A well made, serious bullwhip for a very reasonable price ($190)

(That's one in my avatar...)

I've got the 8ft standard Indy from EC, and love it. I'm sure the budget is great as well. Great customer service at EC, too. Can't go wrong with them.

Scandin, seems to be darker than the pic on the site...

Bad lighting in the pic is one explanation - compare to my avatar pic below:

However, the whip is a few shades darker now compared to when I first got it. Bought it from the COW classifieds in mint condition, and have been cracking outdoors a few times and also given it a very light Pecard coating... I expect it to darken a lot more...
