First off apologies for no picture I will try to get one up within the next few days...

My Saville Row glasses purchased directly from Peter at Algha arrived within a matter of days from ordering them and boy are they beautiful.

They have all the features of the BC ones and I can confirm they look identical to nay other pair of BC pantos or BOICs I have seen except they read Saville Row on the inside of the leg.

You really weren't joking about the pain behind your ear - I can feel the end of the cable machetiing its way in there. Do you advise altering the very end (of the glasses, not my ears) with a pair of pliers or simply enduring it?

Have to say, the shape of these glasses is unlike anything I have worn before and it does take some getting used to seeing this style on my face but all in all I cam exceedingly satisfied with these! A highly screen accurate pair of glasses made by the original manufactuer, with very fast and very friendly customer service. And for us in the UK very handy and the cheapest option it seems!

Congrats on the new glasses - For the pinching behind the ear, if you bend out the very end of the bow that wraps around the ear that should help. You will get use to them and find them better than glasses you have worn before. I like the feeling that they are snug to my face and cannot slide off easily.

Ken, congrats! Be sure to get pics of you wearing them when you do take pics.

Well I have been wearing these all day and my ears are aching. I bent the tips of the cables a bit with pliers which alleviated the worst of the pain but they are still generally sore. Have I got the wrong size, am I wearing it wrong or is this something I just need to stick out and if so fior how long?

All in all the glasses have grown on me and I love the way they are secured onto your head so that even if you were to do a handstand they wouldnt come off.

What are other people's long term experiences with them? Does anyone have a picture of the ends of the cables after they bent them over a bit for comfort?

I have some shooting glasses that have cables, and that is the only experience that I have had with them. They are not custom glasses but they start to be a little painful around the ears. I don't wear them for that long of a perod of time, though.

With prescription glasses that you wear constantly, anything that doesn't fit perfectly around the ears and nose, can get very painful as any glasses wearer knows. Someone said that they would be a little painful at first, but stick with them and it would go away. I hope you and anyone else that recently got these glasses will keep us posted. Good luck with them.

Do I predict callouses behind the ears? Hmmm.

I dont know what to suggest
i just bent the very ends slightly to stop digging in my ear
that seems to have worked
or maybe try next frame size
or speak to Peter at Algha he may have some ideas

I noticed on mine the cables are bent slighty inwards maybe that helps

Bigger the frame size the longer the cables.

If you go too big you look like a book worm.

I have found over the last few years that pulling the cables straight and bending them a bit backwards releases some of the tention. Pliars are by no means needed.
