Jacket owner curiosity, why more than one?

As you might know I've sent my jacket back to Wested in order to get it modified. Seeing the quality of the first jacket I got a feeling that this might be the only leather jacket that I will ever need since I'm totally happy with the way I decided to have it done, material wise and with the added features I picked out.

I understand I might have a different opinion at some point in the future and may get another one. As with the bags...

My question goes out to those who own more than one Indiana Jones leather jacket of any kind. Why is the reason you have multiple ones?

Some of my thoughts are striving for better screen accuracy, collecting all three from the movies, jacket worn out, jackets for different seasons, leather quality interest, improvements by Wested or other makers, there's no stopping since they are so darned good looking, having both distressed and undistressed... The list could probably be miles longer. I'm curious about YOU and YOUR jackets. What make they are, what features they have, how you use it and why you have decided not to settle for just one. :?:

I just thought it would make for an interesting topic... And I'm the curious type of person too, no need trying to hide it. Ladies and gentlemen, present your jackets!

I personally want both goat and lamb,,,,,,one for adventure and one to keep nice for dressing up......BUT ,,,,,,,,I am also somewhat of a hoarder,,,,fearing an item may not be available when one wears out ,,,,I.E. a company going out of business or discontinuing an item,,,,,,therefore, I tend to buy things in multiples,,,,,,,,,,,,,, .Basically,,I'm A.R.O.C.,,,,,,,,,( anal rententive obsessive compulsive)! ,,,,,,,,,,,,
Pretty much the same thing for me. My first Indy jacket was a US Wings in goat, and I was pretty satisfied with it. But I always wanted The Jacket so, until I got ahold of a Wested I wasn't fully satisfied.

Now, having gotten the Wested, I'm inclined to agree with Swindy that its probably the only jacket I'll ever need, but that lamb is so lightweight that it makes me want to get another just in case. Out here its usually good to have a lightweight jacket most days of the year, and so for me its a daily wear item :D I still have the goat for when it gets really cold or damp.

My Raiders goat is a great jacket for weather up to 75-80 degrees
and for riding to work on my scooter, but in the summer it's just
too warm to wear much. I'd like to have a lamb Raiders jacket
for wearing when the goat is too much.
Also, I should have ordered my sleeves longer. They're ok most of the
time, but when driving they tend to ride up too much. So I'd like to
make that improvement to my next jacket.
Lastly, my reason for having more than one jacket is that Peter will
probably want to retire some day and then getting the original item
by the original maker will be no longer possible. I'd like to have
at least two more jackets before then so that I'll always have one to
wear.

I, too, have several for the change of weather.....I have two cloth, one lambskin, one goatskin, and one cowhide (in order of light to heavy weight), so I have a choice of what I wear based on the temperature I'm 'enjoying' at any particular time during the year. Regards. Michaelson

I have a distressed calfskin, and a dark brown lambskin. I simply wanted one of each... The different jackets go with different outfits, and also the changing weather.

Swindy, how long was the turnaround time on the jacket you sent back?

I haven't gotten it back yet... I sent it on the 24th of April, so it has only been a few days yet. Though it feels like weeks! 8) I'll be sure to let you know when I get it back though.

Why is the reason you have multiple ones?
Why not? You will never know which jacket is best for you if you do not get to wear one of each. Not "try one on," but wear one. That was my excuse, but then you wind up with 5 jackets and cannot part with any of them
