I would get about 2 inches added to the armhole. I have fairly big shoulders and my first jacket fit like a T-shirt. I sent it back to have the holes made bigger and if fit much better.
I posted pics here.

Peter will make the arm lengths whatever you want, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Wested makes their jackets like a fitted suit. So if that's not what you like, order a size up. I'd also reccomend the wider arm holes. Guessets are completely up to you. I've had a jacket with them and without them made by Wested and I can't tell the difference. But I have noticed that if you order a jacket without gussets and get the wider arm holes, the sleeves are a little bomber jacket wide.

Just a few things to consider.

Make sure your sleeves are right. There is nothing worse than having a leather jacket with sleeves that are too short, especially when you raise your arms as in driving.

The best way of measuring his sleeves is doubling the arm some 90ยบ and measuring where it beging the court of the shoulder, happening for the elbow until 1 cm exceeding the wrist.
This way it's as the have always measured me for the length of the sleeve, and it always goes perfectly.

Am I missing something, Bink? I don't quite get your insinuation...

Personally I like to set the mood with some wine, light music, maybe a few scented candles.... :P

Thanks Brush,
I really had no idea what Bink was saying. Maybe I'm getting too old, but I missed the double entendre in my own colloquialism. And now I look humorless, which I insist, I am not.

What I meant to say, and to bring this post back to topic, was, Fedoraman, good luck with the jacket. Let us know how everything works out for you. :D

Fedoraman,

I hope you took the advice about the larger arm holes, especially if you have big arms. Mine are okay, but I would like more room. Next jacket I get will have the larger arm holes.

And then on to the Jane Fonda jokes. :D No worries, I do know you've got humour in all the right places, Hem. I'm still giggling about the toiletry bag stuff you know. 8)

Good luck on the new jacket Fedoraman. When I said I wanted a bit roomier armpits (on the jacket...) Peter just recommended ordering with gussets and that did the trick for me.

Let us know how it all turns out.

Regards,
Swindiana

LOL! Don't worry, Hemingway, I seldom know what I'm saying, either. I just can't help but walk through a door that's open that wide. And by no means are you humourless!!! :D

And what do you mean by "works out," anyway? :P

Believe me when I say I can take it. And as Swindy pionted out, ocassionally I can dish it out. The funniest jokes are about ourselves.

I will be watching what I write very carefully!
