Mini-Wested

Hey all,
I had Peter at Wested make my newborn Daughter an Indy jacket! She won't be able to wear it for a few years but it looks great hanging in her otherwise pink nursery! It's a Raiders style jacket made from pre-distressed cowhide and has all the screen accurate details (pocket placement, rectangular rings, slit inside-pocket, smaller collar, nickel zipper). He even added the elastic straps across the back to help keep the action pleats closed! Peter and the Wested crew did an awesome job and rushed it out to me before she was born! Obviously, she loves it and if she could talk she would say "Thanks Dad, now where's my Optimo?"
I couldn't help but order myself a brand new Authentic Lamb with a smaller collar, elastic straps and rectangular rings while I was at it. I had to save on shipping right?
Check out this link for comparison pics of the two jackets. Hint: Mine's the big one.

You have a big Wested and a mini-me Wested.
I'm sure your daughter will appreciate that in a few years. And when she outgrows it, you can save it so she can pass it on to her kids.
Could Peter make a jacket for a dog? My weimaraner would look cool in a Wested.
On second thought, she would probably just think the leather tasted good. That would be an expensive chew toy.

Wow. That jacket is Fantastic! By the way, how'd you know what measurements to give Peter if she wasn't even born yet? :junior: -IJ

Well, knowing Dr. J like I do, and his eye for detail, he probably sat in front of the ultrasound monitor at the last doctor visit, and had his micrometer with him.....

Coppertop only has a few words... one of them is "Mama" and Mum for his binking. He was drawing with crayons here at my desk and he drew this very crude stick figure with a brown patch on the top. He kept making these noises...
"Ahhhh koooo"
"Ahhhh koooo"
"Ahhhh koooo"
"Braaaahhhh!"
I swear... I'm still trying to figure this out.
Congrats, Dr.J... first they steal your heard, then they break it when they start showing independence.

Hey Ren, maybe our kids use the same dictionary. My son's (who's now 6) first words were:
"Ahh Goo"
Maybe the difference between the Koo and the Goo is just a regional dialect.

"By the way, how'd you know what measurements to give Peter if she wasn't even born yet?"
I didn't measure anything. I just asked Peter to make the smallest one he could. He said he had made one before for a size 3. A little big for her but that's alright; It's still a funny little piece of gear to have hanging around the house!

Dr. J

DR J, that is awesome! You rock, dude. I thought I was a cool dad for buying my son that Gap jacket you showed us last year. I may have to get him one of those mini Westeds.
Kudos, my friend

Mine cart figure jacket, never used on screen.
What a cool dad you are!
Now you only need a mini whisky bottle to put her gruel in.
Congratulations!

I've seen this jacket in person and it is every bit as adorable as it looks in the pics and the specs are spot on. I can't help but feel a little jealous that Baby J has a more accurate Raiders Wested than I do!

How much was the jacket?

I believe I paid 70 pounds sterling for the jacket. What that translates to I don't know (and DON'T wanna know). Nothings too good for my little one. Unless I find out what the conversion rate is and then she has to get a part-time job. Three weeks old or not!
