I noticed Indy shirts on AliExpress for a ridiculously low price and thought I'd experiment with buying one, so you don't have to

aliexpress.com/item/1005005310327939.html - 30-something Aussie dollarydoos. That'd be in the twenties for you US folks. Cheap as chips.

Having experienced Chinese sizes before, I looked at the sizing chart and thought, "I want to believe in you, but I just don't..." and went for the XXXL.

Well... wasn't that a mistake? I'd say the sizing chart is actually pretty true to size, especially if you go off the first number - in cm - in the chest section.

For example, my 47" chest will probably be best served by XXL as I'd be at the top end of XL and who knows what a good wash and dry might do?

A very imprecise science here, but the cost is VERY low, and the shirt looks pretty good. A very square cut, all round. Skinny blokes steer clear, I think.

The shirt's care label says 100% polyester, but it feels nice on (even straight out of the bag), and is very light. And yes, the arms are RIDICULOUS.

(EDIT: It's currently in the washing machine, and then I'll hit it with a hot dryer for an hour... for scientific purposes. I feel like I'm on Mythbusters.)

I know that sport t-shirts are made of polyester but not shirts. I'm sweating already just reading this

It's a temperature dependent thing; being winter here, the two times I've worn it today, it felt really OK. Zero issues. And again, keep in mind it's super thin.

Of course it's the trade-off for being so cheap; but you do get a hard wearing shirt that doesn't wrinkle as easily as cotton and wicks sweat to some degree. But probably not great in the summer - although even that would depend on the weave to some degree. It will be an interesting test to see what it's like come summer. Or, at least, what my next shirt will be like; I've ordered a smaller one

It was dark when the dryer stopped, so no pics yet, but my observation is it had shrunk a little in the body (still not enough), but the arms got almost to the right length. Pics tomorrow.

Wow, you could fit 3 or 4 indy's in there!
I've ordered Chinee sizing from FB ads a few times, and after proper research (what are the commments saying) I found I was a 4xl in the heated vest in bought.

If it really is all polyester I wouldn't expect much in terms of shrinkage or color fade. With that said, the color does look pretty good,
Maybe find a tailor and see if they can make any decent adjustmments. it only looks like the body is really overzized, sleeves look a long but not that bad.

Or find a really big guy here ot sell it too....

That's precisely why I didn't trust this sizing chart! Still, a first time for everything! They're so cheap, I'm not worried, though. I've ordered another, one size down.

With some slight shrinkage like I got on this one, along with potential light tailoring, I think it will be pretty good. Again, they're so cheap, it's very doable

OK folks, down one size to XXL and I'm happy with this. Body feels good, with a little room to move. Arms are almost spot on.

For the price, this is a good looking shirt, that feels fine to wear. Certainly a light, summer-weight sort of shirt.

As an occasional piece, costing only in the 20s for you guys in the US or 30s for us in Oz, it's worth having one.
