)So, back to it, I have been searching HIGH and LOW for YEARS and.... now!!!! - I finally found the real deal VINTAGE models for the umbrella and suitcase. I finally got it!!
One of the most rarest finds in Indy costume history IMO.The cost for these items alone I dont want to mention much
. Lets just say I told my wife a different amount You might rememer that I found a suitcase 3 or 4 years ago. That one was very close but this one here is SO CLOSE it really makes me think its the actuall model. Was darn expensive!!!
If you look closely and if you are familiar with Henry's suitcase it has very unique features. A very unique locking mechanism which is a long flat piece with a push keyhole button in the middle. Not seen that on any other models.
Triangular corner shaped belt loops on the panels. They are just placed a tiny bit lower on mine than on Henry's. But hey! Thats just production inconsistency. It has the long metal bottom corner guards and the metal knobs under the bottom which is not photograhed.
Also the suitcase is not black its a very deep dark brown. Compare it with the umbrella and youll see whats black. Just like in the movie!
Easily my favorite showpieces along with the grail diary. These items just has the essence of the entire movie. Grail diary - umbrella - suitcase - Last crusade!
This is as close as I will get to own the real deal henry gear. Color me happy!
