Who made the Indiana Jones TM Cooper, Wilson??

Does anyone know the origin, maker and years these jackets were produced?
What type of leather was used?
They are tagged Indiana Jones TM with the airplane logo. They are a heavier hide than Lamb I'm guessing they're cowhide. They wear like iron. and have snaps on the storm flap. Are these early Disney? Cooper? Wilson?
Thanks in advance

I’m pretty sure those jackets Cooper made.

Yes they ARE very rugged. I just got my third one and now I know how to 'soften' them up. Shower in it. Wear it but careful not to stretch the sleeves. Scrunch up the sleeves. and dry it naturally (on towel hood of truck in this heat (approx 24 hours) Then hit it with your favorite conditioner (Lexol) wad it up, un wad, re wad, roll it, un roll.etc. Wear it around, sleep in it post-conditioner with sleeves pushed up (for those wrinkles). If necessary, rinse and repeat..After enough "TLC" you can get these tanks to soften up an improve the drape. Further, at the end of the day it really is well suited for actual, real world adventuring. I read where the new Disneys are $600 stiff and 27" long. That makes these a bargain. Still a bit heavy, sleeves are too wide but I dig the lower yoke and tapered back panel. I wonder if a tailor could narrow the sleeves on these? Cheers.

Okay thanks. I'm getting educated on this version of our favorite adventure jacket.

IF this is the Cooper sold in the 90's after LC by Disney then that means the new US Wings Adventurer Jacket in original Cooper goat for $360+ is a remake of this jacket. Interesting.. :CR: https://www.uswings.com/product/cooper- ... cket-copy/

More or less. Rumor has it that a more accurate version is in the pipeline for release this fall.

The one you linked is comparable to the old Cooper., but goatskin

Patterns at Cooper and USWINGS seem to change constantly. Speaking for myself, some of them are tailor fit to me, and others I swim in.

That said, though, they will all probably out live our grand kids as the mil spec materials they use are tough as pine knots!

yep the new / old is goat
re: changing patterns....well phooey. I just sold the one I pictured and bought another off fleaBay this am on the cheap. Same size same hide same Cooper orig. but I hope the pattern is the same. I got the other one shrunk and softened up pretty good after a shower/dry/conditioning thinking I'd do same to this one...
re: pine knots. again you are correct. The pretty Lambs are for show but these baby's are for GO. :whip: :whip:

hahah. was being a little facetious. The idea is. Put it in service. But hey, I have worn my Indy leather jacket(s) on 3 day trail rides around Lajitas, TX by the Rio Grande. Slept in them.River rafted, Rolled em up tied to saddle, branded cattle, wrangled horses. Point is.....I use my leather jackets. I DO carefully consider and choose the style I favor but then I put them to work in the harsh, rugged environments they were made from and for.. :TOH:

I grew up along the Rio Grande but I hardly ever needed a jacket! Hot and humid!

A transplanted Texan huh?. Yes had a cattle ranch / cutting horse operation in Central TX for many years. My parents started snowbirding in the Winters at Lajitas. We took a couple of our horses and boarded them down there as well. You are correct That aint no place fit for humans in August but even on the border in Dec at night you best have a good, sturdy jacket for brush poppin' and warmth.. : :D

I have one of those jackets hanging in my closet as I type. I bought mine at Disneyland in 2006. I love it. It fits exceptionally well and really is a tough jacket. I just wish mine was a lighter brown, this one is on the darker side.
