Am I seeing things here? Was this only done for the photo shoot? (Bag strap is weird too).

Hard to tell, I’d say it could go either way, but that publicity photo has so many weird things with it I wouldn’t be surprised if they did to help hold the gun belt in place.

Personally I like to wear the gun belt LC style with the whip holder on the web belt and the gun belt through the whip holder.

I don't think so, to me it looks like its tight around/pushed up at his waist (from squatting) causing the top of the belt loop to push up/balloon out. I don't see the loop around the belt. I would think it would be looser if it was around, given the space at the top.

We've long ago surmised that maybe they didn't have the bag for the shoot and made do with a belt of some sort to keep the look.
