Looking for a whip

Hi all,
Been many years since I was on here. How are we all doing? I'm looking to upgrade my whip. I have an 8 foot but would like a 12.
I don't tons of money but I saw some nice ones on Esty and wondered if the was a seller on there who makes a quality whip ...any help would be great..

If you’re looking for good priced nylon whips, I would recommend Swordguy builds or Eliason Whip Co. Tomek who just posted also makes the best-looking Indy nylon whips, though I have not tried one in person.

My budget is about 200. Def want a leather one. about 12 feet.

You can't buy a decent leather whip that long within that budget unfortunately.

Is there a reason you want a 12'? That's really long and more difficult to crack.
My first whip was a 10' because that was the length I thought I was supposed to have for a "real" Indy whip. I had a miserable time trying to learn to crack it until our own Dan Borton handed me a 8' and I cracked it on my first throw. He said everyone wants a 10' because it looks good hanging on your belt, but shorter whips are easier to crack. Once I got the timing down I was able to get the 10' to crack, but sold it shortly thereafter and bought a 7' because it was more fun to work with.

I second this, 7 to 8 feet is definitely the most fun length for a whip. Easy to crack, but not too short.
Also, you need less room to crack it, which can be an advantage as you find cracking spots much easier.

I personally find 10 feet to be my favorite length.

I have some 9' and 8' and find the 8' easier to handle, especially initially. 12' is a big whip and no doubt will make a big, flowing crack but takes lots of practice.
