For a while now I have been wanting to make a new miniature whip. I was aiming for around half scale.
I only had one roo hide left and I wasn't sure it would be enough, but luckily last week I found a few more hides in stock and quickly ordered them. I started on the new whip immediately and big surprise, I managed to only use the one hide.
It's a 5 footer, around half an inch thick. It has one belly only, cowhide core. And of course the 12 plait overlay. It cracks surprisingly well for it's size.
Thanks for looking!
Cheers,
Bear

That looks great! I’ve been thinking more about a small whip like that for easier carry.
Again, another fantastic job

Re: Another day, another whip
Since I finally discovered how to prepare Shellac (Thank you, Johnny, from Witchcraft Whips) I decided to also shellac this whip.
Here are some before and after pictures. The whip is already heavily darkened as it spent quite some time in my shoulder bag and it has been used, quite mercilessly: I let my friends crack it too...
Cheers,
Bear
