Alden heels - why the difference?

I have been wondering this for a while. My personal Aldens have an all rubber heel. The Aldens being worn by my full size Indy have a totally different heel. They look much nicer in my opinion.
Here's a comparison pic:

Is it because mine are older stock than "Indy's"? I thought maybe the size difference had something to do with it. Maybe this has already been discussed, if so, just point me in that direction.
Any help would be great.

I think those new heels look nice, makes the boot look more uniformed with the sole. The shoes in the raider's truck does not have the tones of cork as was per normal.

Did you order these recently?

Please let us know,

"My" boots, with the rubber heels are definaltly from old stock. "Indy's" boots were bought from another board member more recently. They are from the newer stock and the leather is less red. I would say they are about 5 months old. Hope this helps.

Thanks Janice,

Yeah it does, when I need to re heel my boots I think I am gonna go with standard brown or black heel.

All the best,
Stefan
