I really like taking a whip with me whenever I travel. (when possible, of course) I found that I am stressed of losing the popper or damaging the fall and being left with a whip I cannot use.
I am sure Indy would have such issues as well. So I made a small leather tool kit for whip maintenance, on the go.
The kit tie can be used as an emergency fall replacement. I attached it to the kit by a brass rifle stud.
Inside the kit there is a tiny reserve of Pecard's and two awls.
There is also a slot behind the main panel, where poppers are stored:
If you end up using the fall, the kit can still be closed with the strap I included on the back of the kit:
The entire kit is light and compact. Before this I had awls, Pecards, a lighter, poppers all over the place in my luggage, hard to keep track and inconvenient.

Hope you enjoy my stuff.
Cheers,

Re: Traveling whip maintenance kit
Nice idea.
I just throw awls, pecards, poppers, etc in a small box with other maintenance items (Boot wax, laces, hat brush, things like that) when I travel. But they're always bouncing around.
Thanks for the idea.

This is brilliant!!! Using the fall as a closure strap is an inspired solution.
Well done
