Holster difference

Post by IJJTM »

What's different between Indy's TOD/LC holster and the KOTCS version? I can't seem to find any good photos of the KOTCS holster since he always has the jacket covering it in the few scenes that he actually wears it. Any help would be appreciated. :whip:

As memory serves they are essentially the same due to both being used for the Webley. The biggest difference I can recall is the CS holster was water molded to very clearly outline the Webley.

As well as the defined wet mold to the Webley shape the base of the CS holster is sewn together as part of the side seam. All the other holsters have a separate piece of leather sewn into the base to form a rounded shape for the bottom of the barrel to sit in.

That construction means the CS holster is slightly longer than the LC. It looks like it's been made specifically for the Webley WG so likely also has a fuller flap to accommodate the slightly bigger frame of the WG (as compared to the MK VI).

Ah, yes, the LC holster is plugged at the bottom whereas the CS is sewn.
