A rookie attempt at distressing the buckle on a web belt

My new web belt arrived today (after my twin brother pilfered my old one), and after perusing the forums, I thought about giving it the old college try and distressing the metal on the buckle and the end (I mean all you need is sandpaper, a good eye, and some time right?). Here are the results of my first-time effort.

Indiana Weasel,

I took the liberty of resizeing your images. They are too big.
Please try to keep them down below the 600 pixel range.

If you don't have a program that can edit/resize images
go here: http://irfanview.com/
and get the program.

Its a great little freeware image editor that does ALOT of stuff.
I've been using it for years.

If you could copy and host these edited images to your server,
it would be most appreciated.

Sorry Dalexs, thought I was already hosting the images (put the url of the server that hosted my web site), hence why I didn't resize them too much. I'll go look through the forums to find out how to do it right

Best way to distress the belt buckles is to actually use it. Wear it going hiking and camping as often as you can. You'll be amazed at how well it looks after being naturally distressed.

Yeah, I'm starting to wear the belt everyday to work. Hope this will help distress it a bit more, the buckle is looking rather nice already, just need to get the cloth a bit worn....
