A Cooper Disney/Lucas Film Club jacket rescued

I came across a very nice example of the licensed jacket made by Cooper, which was sold in the Disney World gift shop, through the Lucas Film Club and other mail-order vendors back in the early 90’s.
This is a cow leather with the hidden storm flaps and ‘reverse’ D-ring straps. It has a cotton body and satin sleeve liner.
This one is in dire need of Pecard treatment. Other than that, it looks like it has been in the closet for the last 20+ years- the lining inside looks virtually new with no wear whatsoever.
Most of these I see these days are worn out and in rough shape. I had bought one of these at WDW in 1994, that I foolishly sold to a member here 13 years ago -and I’ve been trying to replace it ever since. This one is by far the nicest one I’ve seen except for my old one which is why I bought it.
Unfortunately, This one is tagged as a Large, but is actually an XL (25” pit to pit). I found this was a very common defect on these when I started researching these jackets years ago.
I’m going to treat this with Pecard’s (and massage the collar back into shape- it’s out of whack from being in a hanger for so long) and rejuvenate this treasure.
Here’s a couple ‘before’ pics-

Grammar. it’s rules I do not adhere to with precision.
Sorry, they

Awesome! This was actually my 1st Indy jacket before I found Peter start to offer them. Mine's still in great shape as well, though hanging in the closet for a long while now.

I still have mine hanging from a LFL fan club purchase. Unfortunately, the tag long ago came off the leather square (though I'm sure I have it somewhere), so I don't really know what size it is. Might have to wear it today in celebration of yours.

First Pecard'ing complete. Now this looks like what I remember! Beautiful dark chocolate brown color.
I think I'll still have to soak the collar and reshape it- these have a great LC/CS collar.

I have this same type of jacket, bought in a Mall store in 1989 when LC was in theaters.
Can you please tell me more about how you are restoring this? Which Pecards product are you using?

I used the Leather Cream- I use a cut up old sweatshirt to apply it. Do a light coat, let it dry for a day and see how it looks and feels. This one didn’t need a second coat, yet.

I put on a disposable surgical glove to apply the ‘cream’ myself.
That way I can feel the surface as I apply it, and then can easily dispose of the glove when finished with no mess.
Pecards actually advises just using your bare hand to apply, but as you well know that can get pretty messy and washing completely off takes some time.
The surgical glove makes it MUCH easier.
You then take a clean old cotton lint free rag, like an old undershirt, and buff the surface after it’s hung overnight. This removes any excess product that didn’t soak in and gives the leather a ‘glow’.
Like I said, that’s just how I do it.
