Who do you guys usually buy them from? I'm about to run out, and I was curious who gives the best bang for your buck, and if you put shipping into your decision, I'm in California. I really appreciate any help you all could provide.

Consider buying some polypropylene "twine" (construction line/string/etc) from a hardware store and make your own. Takes about two minutes per cracker and only requires scissors (to cut) and a pen (to help twist).
(I realize this isn't answering your question, sorry.)

Do you have any links to buy twine, or a video showing how to do it?

Nick has a full tutorial on whip making... at the end he shows how to make a cracker as well:

Honestly in my experience you can use any synthetic thread you find, unless you are a professional whip cracker and are particularly picky.... I have used leather sewing thread, paracord 'innards'... they all withstand cracking quite well. (or well enough for me at least).
Cheers,
Bear

Polypropylene twine works best for me. Something like this:

It's cheap and most stores have it.
Just untwist it to have thinner strand about 60 cm long, put one end between your teeth, tense it and twist with your hands until it's nicely twisted, the grab it in the middle, fold it so you have both ends in one hand and release it. Put a simple knot leaving up to 10 cm of 'fluff'.
Voila, you have made a cracker in 30 seconds
