Recommendations for repair of Wested

I own a Raider's style (predistressed) jacket, I've had it for acouple of years and I love it.
Here's my question, the inside lining is (not sure of name) is the cloth type and up by the colar it's literly worn through and is starting to tear. and in fact has. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'd hate to have send it across the pond again (had some alterations done) the time frame to ship over and get back was gruelingly long to be with out.

Not sure where you are from exactly, but if you have some hot summer months coming up, maybe wait until then to send it, when you probably won't need it, that way it is maintained by the man himself.

I agree with Blues. Any tailor can replace a lining, but only Peter can replace it with an original Wested lining. I would wait just before the Winter months or the hottest months, whenever it is that you can be without it for however long it would take to fix.
OR, order another one and once it arrives, send your old one back for repairs. That would certainly ease your pain.

Wish I could purchase a second one non-distressed this time around. But I just ordered my first Keppler and would like to get my hands on a whip next.
I've seen Mr. Botwright post on this acouple of times. Maybe he'll see this and can give me his views. We'll see, thank for comment. Any others

I'm guessing your jacket is like my first Wested (the older style) with no leather facings and a satin lining. I had the same problem with my old one, I sometimes go a day or two without shaving (where'd I get that idea from?) and my stubble wore out the lining in the area around the collar. Having leather facings put in (if possible) might help to correct this problem in the future, rather than just replacing the lining again. I've noticed that on my new Wested this is not an issue because of the standard application of the leather facings in Peter's new design.

Also, if it's the cotton lining that you have, Peter has recently changed the kind of cotton lining he uses to something more durable. So if you sent it back to be relined (word?) then you could probably be sure that this wouldn't happen again.

Thanks for the ideas. Mine is the cloth lining, so if Mr. Botright has changed the type of lining maybe I'll bite the bullet and ship back to him for repair and at same time look into this leather facing's.
Thanks for the help.
