Wested lc fit question.

Hello.
First post here. I recieved my LC jacket today but I think it's to short for my big bones. I hear the uswings jqckets run long and they offer tall versions as well and wanted to get the opinions of some pros.
Here are some pictures of my wested LC jacket size 50.
I emailed wested to see if they could add length but as 28" back is the longest offered I dont have high hopes.
I am wondering if you guys think a uswings would go better or if I should step up my game for a more expensive but more tailored/custom jacket.
Thanks in advance.
Link provided as I cant figure out how to upload the picture into the thread while also yelling at kids to get ready for bed.

Yep, that's definitely too short on you. Rule of thumb is 1" below the belt, maybe 2" for a LC jacket. Wested won't be able to add to the length, unfortunately, so I'd recommend going the custom route. Magnoli, BK and S&J all have a bunch of very satisfied customers - I'd recommend going with one of them.

Couldn't hurt to try a Wings jacket. Their signature series jackets are generously cut, and they may have some longs available. You can always return it if it doesn't fit.

Also be sure to check out the Indy cape buffalo hide versions.
They definitely come in long sizing, and the price is amazing!

Drop them a line, and include your pictures. You must have slept in a grow bag as a kid!
The issue with length is lambs are only 'so' big, but if you go for a cow you may be able to get one made longer.

Thanks for the help. I've emailed wested and waiting on a response. Also emailed uswings and s+j. Uswings is busy and should get back to me in a few days. S+j is having some technical issues and will get back to me when resolved, and I'm also thinking of taking my measurements for magnolia. Keep my options open.
I used to work out, a lot, before becoming a desk jockey, having kids, and getting fat. I have pretty substantial shoulders which I think is the issue in the wested.

Yep - 2 inches longer - you'll get there. It's hard getting the indy ft if you don't have the Indy body. Ford was pretty slight and the jacket kind of hung off him in an idiosyncratic way that's hard to replicate unless you are about 6 foot and 170 pounds.

US wings got back to me fastest but also with the least helpful answer. magnoli offered to do the white label version C without distressed leather for me so i took measurements from my small wested and a large fitting winter coat, averaged them, and hope its excellent.

Same thing happened to me with my custom LC/CS I had made in 2011. It's only maybe .5 inches shorter in the back than my other Wested Indy's, but it looks super short on me, just like yours looks short on you. It has to be something about the pattern/design that causes this to happen. I'm also fat and have been for a long time. I kept thinking if I lost weight, maybe the jacket would look/hang better. Who knows. Those Magnoli White Label jackets look nice. I don't think I'd go with another Wested LC. I also bought one of the original hero jackets from Wested and the sleeves are so, so narrow. I got tired of the buy, fit, and sell for less routine and just gave up. So, good luck. Like someone else said, it's hard to get the right look with this jacket if you're fat like me. I did like the Wings jackets about seven years ago when I had a few. Beautiful leather. But, there were things I didn't like about the patterns with those, too. So. Good luck.

You. They could not do longer. I did return it but ate the shipping cost which is not cheap.
I bought a magnoli white label and the fit is great. I got it not distressed though and it looks black. I generally like distressing my stuff over time but might try some tricks on this as it really looks black
Eta: here is the jacket with a brown hat and black watch strap.
