Second Indy Shirt Run

A few weeks ago I tried my hand at making my own Indy shirt. You can see the post original post here:

http://indygear.com/cow/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=69377

It came out ok-ish, but the collar wasn't great and the shirt was too tight in some places and too large in others. I had taken apart an old shirt that was too small and tried to modify the pattern myself.

For the new run I decided to buy a new cheap shirt, in my size, and make my pattern from that. I also found some more appropriate fabrics and buttons and I made five new shirts. They came out much better than my first one.

I also bought a serger (overlocker) so I could nicely finish the inside edges.

Wow that is most impressive sir! I applaud your first attempt, but you certainly can see the improvement, especially in material choice. Outstanding work! :TOH:

Thank you so much! They came out much better than I had expected when I started. And I was lucky to find the materials in a local shop.

Cheers,
Bear

Wow! That's incredibly ambitious :TOH:

Had you ever attempted something as complex as a shirt before?

Thank you, Howard! I had made a few purses, belts, and holsters, but I think a shirt is on a new level of 'complicated'. I started being 50% sure I would fail. But I took it very slow and learned some tips and tricks with each shirt. :TOH:

Cheers,
Bear
