My first Indy Shirt

A few weeks ago I made my first Indy shirt. It came out a bit rough, but I was satisfied with my first try.
I am already working on an upgraded model, but I will make a new post about that when it's finished.
Here are some pics:

Thanks for looking!

Came out great.
Did you make the entire thing from scratch or did you modify an existing shirt?

Thank you! The jacket is a wested raiders in shrunken lamb. Very light and comfortable!

Thanks! I made it entirely from scratch. I took the rough pattern from an old shirt. Took it apart, traced it on cardboard and I used the stencils. I had to figure out the strips, pockets and shoulder flaps, though.

This coming from a fellow who feels extremely proud when he sews on a button (me), I'm VERY impressed!
HIGH regard! Michaelson

Thank you very much, Michaelson! It was my first 'big' sewing project. I usually do leather stuff.
And sewing a button is not an easy matter. It was my least favourite task, until I learned how to do it with a sewing machine.
Cheers,
Bear

Nice work!
I’ve asked my wife about making shirts and she dives for cover!
(And she’s made a lot of her own clothes...)

Thanks guys, I am glad you like it!
@Dalexs: there are some parts of the shirt that are a doozie! The collar, cuffs and the sleeve seams...

Nice work! I wouldn't have a clue where to start when it comes to making a shirt from scratch.

Thank you! Well, I started with a lot of research to see how a shirt is put together and what would be the correct steps of assembly. After that... I copied an old shirt pattern and went very slowly cutting up the panels and putting everything together.

Well, I guess if you really want to do something, you've just gotta find how yourself. That's a good attitude to have. Good luck with further creations.

Yep, I had to learn how to do a lot of stuff lately. It's always a long journey, but very satisfying in the end.

Thanks! I've had a lot of practice ever since I was a kid. I used to make all kinds of stuff I couldn't buy, more or less succesfully...
