Hello Gentlemen,

I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on an advintage harrison, but am unsure of which color to go for. Sable or Raiders Sable. There are a few comparison pics on the website but I'd love to see pics of the two on somebody's head in daylight to help with the final decision. Would anyone here have pics of a Raiders Sable on their head.......?

By the way, the lighter one is Raiders Sable and is by far my favourite.

Cybertrek's original post (from Feb 2018) of his side-by-side hats is the perfect guide. In fact, that post convinced me to get my own Raider's Sable Harrison. I think you'll love it if you get one. The 20% beaver mix really raises the hat several cuts above 100% rabbit hats.

And Thomas at adVintage does a fine job with whatever movie bash is your style of choice.

The Harrison is a great hat an unbeatable price!

Trigger pulled. Went for Beaver/Rabbit blend. Crystal Skull style in Sable. The Raiders sable just seemed too red for me. Now I play the waiting game. It's gotta come all the way down to New Zealand so I'm praying for a pre Xmas arrival.

Should be fine mine arrived in the USA in a week.

Funnily I am actually in NZ at the moment flying back tomorrow. With my Harrison rabbit sable

I have a question, I to look to be on the verge of ordering an adVintage TOD, end of the movie bash.
Which color felt, raiders sable or sable.
And what color does the ribbon need to be to pull off the TOD

I've been doing a search and can't find the best mix to pull off what I want.

Maybe ask Thomas at adVintage what he thinks...? I have a Raiders sable Harrison I love. But since the hats look different in the movies depending on scene and lighting, it's probably hard to say which is a better match.

Been considering an Advintage Harrison to upgrade from my Akubra Fed IV Deluxe and stumbled upon a blog entry detailing a new color coming soon- “True Sable”. Color looks beautiful!

Looking forward to more info if the Harrison will be available in the new True Sable and how it compares in sunlight to the already gorgeous Raiders Sable.

That True Sable IS a great color!

Did you email Thomas at adVintage to ask if he might add it to the Harrison choices? He's open to suggestions from us hat buyers as to what he might add to the lineup. The addition of the gray Raiders travel Harrison was due in part to interest here on COW.

I can tell you I love my recently-purchased Raiders Sable Harrison.

I haven’t sent him a message yet but I definitely will in the next couple days.
The more I see it the more I feel I absolutely need my next hat in that color!

I've ordered my hat, beaver.
And the communication is great.
Now the waiting begins.
And for style, well you could say TOD.....................................maybe.

Got an email back from Thomas. He says currently the Harrison is not available in the new True Sable, but maybe in a few months when some space opens up in the warehouse.

Something to look forward to! Thomas has been quite responsive to our comments and interest in terms of expanding his lineup.

Definitely hoping so! I could also buy a currently available Raiders Sable Harrison to help free up warehouse space!
