Hey all!

Long time, no post.

I was watching TV last night and a Nationwide ad came on and had a little girl running around in what appears to be Alden 405s. However, upon closer examination there are only three speed laces and not four.



The laces seem correct and the tongue on my boot slides to the right just like this one. The heel and sole possibly look different which might indicate that they are not Aldens. Any idea what brand they might be?

I've seen this commercial several times, and I've thought the same thing when she comes through, but it happens so fast, I just couldn't tell.

They didn't look quite right but I never got very far with my pondering as the answer was right there !

I once had a pair of Kenton's. Poor quality, the stitching came apart after only a few wears. Odd for J Crew but there you go. Now only wear the real deal Alden's and my Chippewas.

That's amazing. I use to OWN a pair (gave them away long time ago) and didn't recognize them. The color looks really good. Mine were a more light orange-tan color and I could never really get them to that Alden brown.

Good to see the color has improved.
