Strain 12 Footer!

Hi all

I though I would share a recent pic of one of my favorites. It is a Joe Strain 12 footer whiskey color. I posted about it nine years ago when I first purchased it http://indygear.com/cow/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=42996" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It has darkened up nicely over the years and is still tight as a drum. As Joe has no longer been making whips consistently, this was an awesome find and I´ve enjoyed it for all these years.

It would be great to see how other people´s whips have been aging through the years.

Thwack!

Bravo

Gorgeous whip, gorgeous aging, Indiana Bravo!

How often have you cracked it?

Thanks for sharing! :TOH:

Thanks bearbeast. :whip:
I take it out when the weather is nice and sometimes crack it in the gym. Here is another pic with its little brother, a ten year old Strain 10 footer in natural tan. The color for the other one I believe was saddle tan, and not whiskey as I stated before. In any case it is now has that purplish tinge. Sort of reminds me of the color of the whip from Crystal Skull.
Cheers
Bravo

Wow, Bravo! Thanks for the pics! The two 'brothers' both look amazing and lovingly looked after!

I hope they both serve you well for years to come!

Cheers,
Bear :TOH:

Thanks Joe. I am in the process of giving them their bi annual coat of pecards and a good shellacking, along with a new popper. The season is upon us!
