There probably a thread covering this but couldn't find it. I wear 12us in slip on boots like Justin's and Georgia boots so what size would alden boots be whats the size difference

I've found that Alden are true to size so if you normally wear a 12, that's what you should go with.

Order a half size smaller than your normal dress shoe.

I wear an 11 in athletic shoes.
I wear a 10 1/2 dress shoe.
I wear size 10 Aldens.

I wear an 11 sneaker, and Alden prescribed a 12.5D Trubalance Last. They fit me like a glove... er, boot.

Nike 13, regular shoes a 12, Alden Indy 11.5.

Also wear a 11.5 in the better Red Wing ankle boots.

Size 10 tennis shoes, size 8.5 Alden. It’s wild.

Where can i get the most screen accurate 405 Indy boots from i know adventurebilt used to sell them do they still offer them who is the best to buy from?

I wear an 11 in most dress shoes, and 10.5 in 405s. And the 405s still feel like they're a bit long. I will tell you from experience that different leathers can produce a completely different fit for the same size. The 403's Chromexcel leather feels roomier and has more give than the 405's stiffer calf leather.

You'll have to contact AB to see what they might still have available for their latest SA boot interpretation. Their second (and last) run was a few years ago if I remember correctly. A forum search should dig up some reviews.

There are two schools of thought on the Alden factory offerings depending on who you ask: That the 403 is the most current SA offering color-wise; or that the 405 is the closest you'll get to the originals due to the model number and type of leather. Both a forum and internet search should dig up plenty of info to help you decide for yourself.

By my count, there are currently 35 pairs of 403s or 405s on ebay right now. Some good deals too.
