Beckett Simonon Boots "Indy-like"

I saw an ad for these boots from Beckett Simonon that are a pretty good match for the Aldens at around $200. If they came in a tan and lost the loop, they'd be even better.

I don't know about you all but those loops that extend way above the top rim of the boot are absolutely the most infuriating things ever invented by humankind!!!!

I have a pair of Bass boots sort of like that and they also have the tall loop up top. Every stinkin' time I sit down and then get up, the back of my trousers gets caught on the inside of the loop and they flash my ankles to everyone behind me! I always have to pull my pant leg down.

I had another pair of some cheap ankle high boots that also had the loops and I cut them off! Now? They work like a charm and my pants leg doesn't get caught anymore.

Please, if you know any shoe designers, manufacturers, etc. please tell them not to put the loops up top like that!!! If we must have loops, then lower them down so you can still pull them up but where the top of the loop is even with the top of the boot. Simple and effective..

Agreed. I had a pair of Wolverine's with loops which I ended up cutting off, but those were only ~$60.
