hi,
I'm a whipenthusiast from Germany. Preferably I collect bullwhips and now I'm thinking about to buy a RAWhide bullwhip. Untill today I has no possibilty to test a Rawbullwhip. The only whipmaker that I find in the net is Benton Cassaday from Texas.

Have somebody expirience with that kind of bullwhips and perhaps with Benton's?

I have handled a couple of his "Red Snapper" bullwhips. They have nice plaiting. He usually makes very long handled bullwhips. He uses no turkshead knot on the handle ... just the one on the butt. I found his whips were extremely heavy. Some people like them, but for a multi-cracker such as myself I don't want to wield anything heavy for any extended period of time. That's me.

I have sent a few whips over to Germany and Austria. There are several whipmakers on Club Obi Wan. Why don't you consider one to make you an Indy bullwhip?

thx Robert, I have (only) one indystyle from Bernie. Very heavy and different to other austr. whips, but I love them too. The variety of whip making art is very interest for me. The DM peplica at your site looks nice - a Morgan is to expensive for me. Is the handling also like a Morgan?
