USW Raiders or A2

Post by Synycyl »

Hello group,

I am looking for feedback on US Wings Raiders jackets. How is the quality and sizing? I am not super concerned with screen accuracy.

As a plan B I am also considering the USW modern A2 in goatskin, if anyone has experience with those jackets. Thanks.

Quality, top drawer. Mil-spec. Made by Schott leather company of motorcycle jacket fame in New Jersey.

Sizing? Depends. The Signature series tends to run a bit large on me, but for others it may vary.

That said, they're built like tanks.

My main go-to Indy jacket is a USW's 'roo hide Legend pattern (unfortunately no longer made).

You can use the search feature here and find TONS of discussions regarding USW's products, sizing, and opinions too.

I've owned a few of their A-2's too, and they're military fit, so they're a bit trim in fit around the middle due to that fact, but true to size.

Good luck in your quest!

Regards! Michaelson :M:

Like Michaelson said, sizing depends on which series. I find the Legend series to be to be a bit short if you are a larger guy (in the gut area), but otherwise the sizes seem pretty on the nose.

Personally, I prefer the Signature series. They do run larger and longer, so if your a slim person, you might want to go one size down.

Totally agree with M on the quality. If screen accuracy is not your main concern, then I would say USW is the way to go.

Thanks for the feedback gents. I was unaware that Schott made their jackets. That is encouraging. I will continue to search through the older posts for more reviews, but I appreciate the up to date assessment you provided.
